Eager to explore the island beyond the confines of our resort, we set out to rent a scooter for two days. Given the island’s manageable size, traversing it by scooter seemed like the ideal way to soak in its natural beauty and vibrant atmosphere.
With the rental formalities sorted, we embarked on our island tour. The weather was unpredictable, with sporadic heavy rain showers interrupting our journey. However, the warmth of Thailand ensured we were never uncomfortably cold, adding a sense of adventure to our exploration.
Our ride took us to stunning viewpoints, offering breathtaking vistas of Koh Samet’s lush landscapes and sparkling waters. We also made stops at several beaches, dipping our toes into the inviting sea, feeling its refreshing touch.

Noi, still recovering from a cold, needed rest, so we returned to our resort in the afternoon. In the evening, we opted for another local dining experience, finding a quaint restaurant that served up authentic and affordable Thai dishes, a delightful contrast to the resort’s offerings. This meal further deepened our appreciation for the island’s culinary landscape.
Ending our day on a peaceful note, we retired early to ensure a full recovery and readiness for more adventures.
